Wishing For Freedom
Wishing for freedom
in a world bound by chains
a desperate attempt
to have it all again
just one more chance
is all it would take
to make right the wrongs
and make it all ok
how did it all slip
so very far away
at what point
did it go astray
not sure how
it got to this point
these chains and bonds,
squeeze a little tighter
the things from the past
come back yet again
haunting and reminding me
I cannot escape
there simply is
no freedom here.
