Wishing For a Simple Kiss

Wishing For A Simple Kiss

This humble note and tribute to our love comes open
With heart and soul and head my dearest one
I’ll be there, rushing quickly over minutes
Your illness is not just yours but mine
I wish a simple kiss could make you better
Please save one for me when I arrive
I love you, adore you, my only goal in life is you
Remember sand and sea, hand in hand so warm together
Walking as if time would never end
Think of these gentle words as pillows for your spirit
And this white paper as an entrance to my sad old soul
In the envelope is all of me caressing you in person
Wishing I was there with every fiber of my being
Forget the distance of these kisses on this page
Embrace them as if I was already there
As I’m missing every minute here without you
Disregard the tears that might have stained this page
Don’t cry one minute, my one and only love
Soon we’ll be together wrapped in bliss
Sealed with a simple kiss

Hi Mary Jo, I hope things are good with you. I'm glad you liked it. As a general rule I like to make people laugh and entertain them. This subject matter called for something different. I don't want you to cry but I'm glad it touched your humanity. Thank you and have a wonderful night. Take care. Earl
