Wishful Thinking

here, where the temperature sends
uncomfortable shivers into my spine,
i look at you, your hair overflowing with shine,
the moon truly dropped amazed.

in this clustered room, where inanimate objects dwell,
moving, annihilating me with fear.
you gave me the overwhelming urge to defy life's cruelty.
with just a smile you took me away.
your stares seemingly full of desire.
your glimpses drowning me in passionate fire.

my heart shall never feel alone,
you built me a world where fantasies are so real they make me go on.
time has shown me how to love.
but you shall never be mine, for you are someone else's

the only consolation i have is that i get to hope.
at least i get to...

...wish

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
