Wishes For a Silent Sleep

Had we ever talked,
Had we ever known,
The true kindred spirit
To be found in ourselves?

In sudden, you drifted...
Off into the mist of Unknown.
But your place wasn't empty,
For through the wind
 the beating drum echoes...
And every ray of light reflects...
Your happy memories,
Your happy smile....

Know that the withered petals
Of yesterday's roses shine,
Kissed by the silver moon,
Upon your marble doorway to eternity....
Them with hearts moistened with our tears,
Know that by your grave,
I pray you live a life, silent on rest.
