Wishes For a Daughter
WISHES FOR A DAUGHTER .
May she travel through life
Smoothly and with certainty .
May I be given the chance
To be with her on the journey .
May she always share her inner self
With me in confidence .
May I always be privileged
To see her secret security .
May she speak to me without hesitation
Of everything that moves her .
May I be allowed to hear her
Soft voice filling my empty ear .
May her laughter be the echo
Of her carefree soul’s peace .
May I recall it always
In recesses of my mind .
May she suffer no pain
From my clumsy nearness .
May I delight endlessly
In her pleasure and satisfaction .
And may she find true happiness
With a perfect companion .
And may I see that day arrive
And share in her joy .
