Wishes

I picked the pedals of a flower,
to grant a wish this very hour.
To bring me back what I had lost,
I will not measure or count the cost.
I wish for you..I wish for me...
and if I may...I'll make it three.
The third one is to bring me luck...
since I lost myself when my head was struck.
I want to have my old self back,
my mind of pieces that now I lack.
At times I seem to give up hope...
but your love for me will help me cope.

Pam, what a beautiful new you to come out of this pain. You are my inspiration and my courage when I want to give up! I read your poems and somehow find strength to cope with "stuff" and loss and re-inventing myself. I Shadow of who I was long ago lives inside me and my soul still dances to music as I remember the other me...the younger......stronger...more carefree me. The "pieces" are there they just look different and have opened new doors. You are my hero in so many ways!
