Wishes

If wishes were worms
Would they be as fertile as dirt
Deep dark valuable soil
The worms squeal with delight
Burrow deep within mother
Earth turning the dirt
Long worms , earth worms
Itty bitty baby worms
Little wishes, birthday wishes
Anniversary wishes , death of
A soul wishes buried deep
In mother earth’s memory
Worms have no eyes,
Ears , feet of legs or arms
Yet where the dead lay
Forever worms live
And refresh mother earth’s
Pedestal of fertility

Dear Kelli, I truly enjoyed your word play with so much to say. Between wishes and worms! Full of insight and wisdom. - Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel
