Wish One

i pray they dig deeper
than all red roses
or until the rain
has a newer scent
i pray this rain never feels the same again
i pray
and worry
and pray harder
but i am still antagonized
by the present
the past
the future
so they
dig for truth
wish one has been granted

Enjoyed your poem, Chante. A feeling comes across of a deep secret that needs to be unearthed... possibly a very ugly truth.
