Wish For 2022
In front of us, again, a new year sits,
What will it bring, who knows, we'll hope some good,
Some will be born, new life, some, call it quits,
Some, power gain from what last year withstood,
High waves and storms at sea, or calming winds,
Clear skies, blue stars at night, or heavy clouds,
Each dawn, a murmur in the forest blinds,
Or happiness on streets and dancing crowds?
I wish to all in 2022,
The safest sail, fair winds, and calmest seas,
Prosperity, success in all you do,
Love, joy, and peace, a life of health and ease.
And may each day, until the journey ends,
The pen and muse be always your best friends.
