Wipe the Student Loan Debt Away
Its bad enough with millions out of work
But many of those millions have loans
They struggle to make due to get out
With all they can gather together
Just to have enough for another day.
One job isn't enough
Two jobs isn't gonna cut it
Three jobs won't break bread
Four jobs is just overkill.
How can those who graduated
How can those who are in school
How can those who are near completion
How can those who are searching for work
How can those who are out there in their fields
How can those who are at home working?
How can they all survive this war?
How can they make it through
When they got enough
To keep fed and clothed?
Why must the loan sharks
Want to take them all
Of what they got?
Were in tough times now
So cut us some slack
Give us a compensation
Take this giant boulder
Off our backs.
Give us a forgiveness
During this crisis
To break the chains of debt
So we can build for our future
You can use that debt
To save the country.
$10,000 toward loans
Won't pay full price
That percentage varies
From one borrower
To another.
We need a complete forgiveness
We need millions to be rescued
From the sea of debt
Trying to keep afloat
During times of uncertainty.
Turn your attention
To the students young and old
Graduates with their degrees
Who are trying to keep steady
To balance on life or poverty.
Wipe away the debt of all students
Use the debt to save this country
If you allow loan sharks to bite off
Everyone that owes them money
They bite away at our being
Until were nothing left, but bones.
