Rouses
Crocus bulbs,
Iris rhizomes,
From their brumal naps ~
As shoots scoot through
Thawing soil
Winter
Burps

How dare Winter burp before my eyes. A serious composition that ends its imagery with the word burp is more than a delightful poem, it is unexpected and somehow, refreshing. Didn't know I'd focus so much on the burp, but here you have it. Did you snicker or giggle when you ended this poem?
