Winter's Slumber
Winter's slumber might heal
a farewell spoken at the end
of summer.
Living lonely through the colors of fall
and the fading of flowers,
each falling leaf is another tear.
Perhaps time will pass quickly
in winter's slumber dreaming,
and farewell be forgotten in spring.
