Winter's Relief

Let winter come And freeze the sky No more will shadows cast Let showers turn to heaps of snow With gardens hidden deep Let working cease Migration fly Let herds to safety dash Farmers idle, fires glow No fields left to reap My picket fence Blockaded high No perfect cobbled path Let winter come, and snowstorms blow I need some time to sleep By: Kyle Ezra Kriticos

Like this one a lot. We've got 6 months of the winter out here in Calgary - I will tuck these images in my pocket when I brace the winds.

Had to chuckle at the last line. You do give the reader something to think about here. Keep on writing and sharing your words. Thank you for your kind comment. Karen

A lovely write on winter Kyle, You take the languid approach with resting as the reward. Could feel the effects of that sweet time.
