Winter's Rain
Go weeping clouds of the weeknight
How you fill our streets with assume fright
Washing down a flooding mess
To some causing much duress
Pinging down upon my glass
With speeds of light hitting fast
Natures washing away the city filth
Here in our commonwealth
With my windows no longer clear
Darkness lingers this time of year
Wetness has strewn across this area hard
I now have a small pond in my yard
Haven’ seen much of the sunshine
Soon it will be a day for Valentines
My bones are sore from all this moisture
If this keeps up I’ll need a trip for aquapuncture
Go weeping clouds of the weeknight
Down to the basement I go with a flash
