Winter's Pursuit of Spring

It is life we all want
If we can't have
Are you willing to jump?
Just hang on to the funk?
Or ride the wild toro
Until it knocks you on your path

My ships going down
Now that I am captain
Can see it's no longer sea-worthy
Luckily I can also see shore
Have precious cargo
To make sure

Like waves
we crash onto shore
like waves
we drift on back in to sea
like the last dance
of a falling leaf in wind
and the roots in black rising to light
winter's pursuit of spring ends tonight
