Winter's Masterpiece

Winter’s Masterpiece
Snowy powdery day brought snowflakes dancing
On crystallized glistening pond
Everywhere sunset fell, halo’s glittered and disappeared
Then silence, tiptoed in, soothing and soft
Wrapping us up in a cozy blanket of stillness
While pearly white and palest of colors
Hid flaws on the cold frozen ground
Inhaling deeply, one breathes in winters master piece
The crispy air, tangy with pungent fragrance of fir and pine
It releases memories of history past
They hang for a moment suspended in time and
Then skip away to waltz another yester year
The essence of winter sustained by splendor,
Hope and sweet lyrical moments

Your imagery is beautiful, Joy. Nicely done. It makes the reader - anyway me- want to dance outside in the snow, listening to the stillness.
