Winter's Humour
The clouds were moody
the sun refused to shine
the dark days of winter
hung around with dread
coldness kept rolling in
refusing to let warmth
follow in it's footsteps
the cold tried to beat
a record it had set before
with water freezing in mid air
it laughed without a care
once the record was beat
it decided to let warmth in
only to find the humour
of a day before it swept in
with a freezing blowing wind.
