Winter's Dream
Fall reaches a watery grave
Exchanging for a winter coat
To fend off the chill of stormy rage
Bearing down like a bear on a foe.
Rivers and lakes turn to ice
Under a sky of minty cream candy
While the land turns white
The princess is getting ready.
For she yearns to meet her Prince
Invited to the returning King and Queen's wedding feast
Having waited since time imagined
Having freed herself from the raging beast.
Though it may be cold as ice outside
Her heart never forgot her destiny
Bravely having crossed the path of strife
Keeping her love true for her husband to be.
