Winter's Chill

The leaves start falling, off the trees,
When fall, it comes a knocking'
`And everybody was running about,
When the trees all started rocking .
They shook and shimmered, all day long'
The cold wind froze their roots ,
Their branches started falling off'
And the " Sun's rays' they withstood .
Winter came along much later ,
Children playing, here and there
Good old winter was just starting ,
But the young ones, didn't seem to care .
O'h the joy of growing children,
How they love, the falling snow,
But the headaches, that they cause us'
It has just begun to show .
I am thankful, that the winter'
Only comes but once a year ,
So I think that I've been blessed ,
And I thank ' The Lord" I'm here .
