Winters Captive

Winter has an icy grip on spring
Imprisoned in the frosty lair
Spring is fighting, chipping away
At the wintry cage that has her there
She melts the ice with a warming stare
She hopes to be free and rule the air
She struggles and manages to escape
She chuckles at her terrific shape
She quickly runs and hides,
Hoping winter can’t keep up her strides
Spring looks back to see that winter is not in sight
So she bravely continues with her flight
Filling the air with warm delight
Assuring the world, that again all is right!

Sound poetry like a mid night song scrubbing the mind to peace and comfort. I love everything about this page and a 7 definitely.
