Winter Wonderland
Winter Wonderland
12/28/2018
The clouds are gathering over our heads,
With the frigid air, we have come to know.
Tells us to stay cuddled, in our warm beds,
While outside, white gossamer flakes of snow
Floating on, circulating winds that blow
To begin, again, a white winter show
The leaves of fall, are being covered up
Will soon disappear, on the winter ground
We're drinking hot chocolate, from a cup
Outside, there are no other souls around
Our snow boots call, to us, without a sound
Snow is trapped, by trees, as it's earthen bound
Snow is frozen there, beautiful to see
White has covered all, white's to be our fate
Outside, walking, is where I long to be
Pull on those snow boots, don't you dare be late
To be the first prints, in the snow, is great
The snow crunches, below you, from your weight
Looking back, to where you have walked, is grand
First footsteps in this winter wonderland
