Winter Storm
Thick dark grey clouds with flashes of lightening
The rumbling roar of thunder
Echo of noise through the open pastures
Valleys fill quick of muddy waters
Slippery hills of bending but not broken flowers
Torrential rain of such strength and power
Soon the sun of such a needing hour.
Mending stems
Constantly bowing
Constantly bouncing
On and off the ground
Trauma to the petals and leaves
Still hanging
Still sagging
Still Drooping
As if the arms were heavy to lift
Roots stay strong through the gale wind.
Flashes of lightening
The rumbling of thunder
Echo of noise through the open pastures
Remaining parts of the damaged flowers
Blowing backward and forward in the breeze
Torrential rain begins to ease
Light rain falling
Sunlight rising
Dark clouds parting
Flowers stand proud in these rays of offering
As if to smile and say good morning.
