Winter Snow

Discomfort . . .
with snowfall all day long,
with gusty winds and ice storm,
there’s need to be extra careful
either to get around on foot
or just to drive around the corner.

Midwest and northwest share
usually huge snow piles
some areas with wind chills
remind me of Chicago where I stayed
a windy city, a place with such beauty.

Winter blast has its alarming signs
to people in every location
it’s always repeated in television
preparing everyone for safety and control.

Along the highway logjams,
precautions are given with attention
that young and old alike
should follow what is right.
