Winter Sketches

WINTER SKETCHES

winter’s got me down
drifts of snow have turned dirty
sunlight doesn’t help
but a sudden spring rustle
this swooping pair of blue jays…

tow’ring backyard tree
upward far as i can see
a look – i’m dizzy
then chattering brings me round
tiny feet on frozen ground

Oh Daver, I like these shorter poems, they feel more tidy and punctual.:) Hmmmm..."tiny feet on frozen ground"...a squirrel, a cat, a pixie wearing snow shoes? Oie yoie, I'm still thinking of your procastination poem. Gotta go! Love, Mikki
