Winter Scenes

The red barn stood out across the white blanket of snow
Skies were blue and trees showed their strength, holding the snow on branches
                  - I love winter scenes -
They are so clear, bright, beautiful!
A fresh perspective reaches me every day
A new chance to learn something clear
A new highlight to shine in my life,
in ways maybe only I can understand
I drove by quiet farm land, hills and mountains
My favorite landscape surrounded me
I was safe with borders of strength,
granted insights to guide me all the way
It is ok that I am alone with new discoveries
Because each discovery, is another piece
to the puzzle of my complete purpose
and this purpose will conclude just as bright

Dear Heidi, You paint winter with such clarity and calm. What I love most is the way you let the landscape mirror your inner life with each scene becoming a new insight, a new piece of purpose. It’s reflective, bright, and beautifully you. Warm blessings, Heidi Daniel

Your wonderful words hold such beauty. I can see the red barn highlighted against the white snow. But, like Gershon, I prefer to do my winter viewing from behind a windowpane. Have a wonderful day, my friend.

All seasons have their own particular beautiful scene. Winter can provide excellent imagery. Great poem.

I don't know how you do it... Winter, esp. snow and ice, just kill my spirit at this stage of life... I clearly was not made for winter... Spring revives me. Only hope I can last that long this year. I feel myself giving way every day... Oh, well. Trying to keep moving -- indoors! My hat's off to you, Gershon
