Winter Rain

There is one thing I surely do know - That because of the way winds might blow, We'll have hours of rain Which, though, really a pain, Just as easily could have been snow! Tonight, when the raindrops do stop, Then the temperature's likely to drop And, though that will be nice, Once the streets turn to ice, Up the likelihood goes I'll go plop!

What a lovely Limerick Ilene, Winter Rain, (what is that), just that we don't see much rain even in winter, I have heard you are having bad snow storms at the moment, that would be nice at the moment as it is very hot here but then I would get fed up with that, thank you for sharing this lovely piece and take care.....Vera.

We had 15 minutes of snow the other day, then it turned to rain, then the temperature took a dive to near freezing. I was going to do some shopping, but decided I could wait until the next day. Nothing's worth an accident for nonessential food. / M

Rain on its own is not so bad, but once it turns to ice then it could spell nasty accidents! At this time of year it's advisable to avoid outdoors. Regards // paul

The weather is so unpredictable and you have highlighted this in your poem My advice is to stay indoors where its warm and cosy and don't risk a fall Ilene:-)hugs jan xx
