Winter Poem
Silver clouds hung suspended from heaven
The sun's gold rays alight on the trees
Casting deep afternoon shadows
Icicles melt with a slow drip
as the afternoon sun radiates
New icy patches form underneath
The snowflakes resemble sparkling diamonds
Like sprinkles on a newly baked cake
Spread and tossed across the frozen ground
Snow drifts begin to pile
Creating dune like projections
Cold air begins to impact and compress
A spade is needed to cut like a knife
The hard crystalline ice and snow.
