"Winter ensures greater bonding than any other season by bringing the family members together to sit around the hearth enjoying the warmth of the fire and sharing pleasantries"~ By Poet
Snowflakes are sliding down through porous air. They look like confetti on a pretty bride in white. Some land down on bare limbs of trees and bushes Rabbits and squirrels into their comfy borrows alight. A thick blanket of snow is spread over hills and dales. Land and trees look as if someone painted them wholly white. Like pretty jewels, suspended rain drops gleam and glitter. Cold blizzards blow and sweep through the whole night. When flakes of snow are thus gently gliding and landing, When I feel the chill in my body and all through my bones, Into the depths of sweet slumber, my mind takes flight, Enjoying the magic of winter and wind’s euphonic tones!

Dear Valsa, you wrote a great poem about the beauty and magic of winter, as well as the sense of tranquility and peace it brings. You used descriptive diction to paint a vivid picture of a winter scene. Words such as "porous air," "comfy borrows," "suspended raindrops," and "euphonic tones" evoke a sense of beauty and tranquility. The use of similes, comparing snowflakes to confetti and raindrops to pretty jewels, adds to the imagery. Best wishes for the contest

absolutely exquisite, Valsa! I found wisdom in your initial words and beautiful and inspirational imagery within your poem. You beautifully captured splendor in the wintery, snowy scene. I loved the last lines and hope to relish some of that winter magic in the next few days. Snow headed to our part of Texas. I especially liked 'pretty jewel, suspended raindrops gleam and glitter. Have a blessed evening, hugs, Sara

Your words transport me to a winter wonderland, where snowflakes descend like confetti, adorning the world in a pristine white. The imagery of snow-covered hills and dales, as if painted by an artist's brush, evokes a tranquil beauty. The mention of rabbits and squirrels finding solace in their cozy burrows adds a touch of warmth to the wintry scene. The portrayal of suspended raindrops as pretty jewels reflects the captivating play of light in this snowy spectacle..
