Winter Lover
winter lover
stay a while
quietly
in the winter of my woods
open your mind and listen
for the sound of snow falling
a birds wing humming
soon the geese
will thread the air with calls
that melt the earth.
for now rest
among the evergreens
and light the fire,
whisper tales to me.
