Winter Joys

Trimeter

Winter of skates, snow, ice.
Cold chill in the air, coats,
muffins, scarfs , sleds, skies, nice.
Silver bells, music notes.

Slalom’s dangerous way
Hot chocolate, sweaters,
Boots for drifts, wind blown day.
Home by fire, writing letters.

Mistletoe, Santa Claus,
presents, ribbons, bows, strings,
wrappings children then toss.
Toy cars, dolls, Christmas brings.

All is time of great joy ,
Time made for both girl, boy.

I don't mind the cold weather but everything else about winter is depressing to me. Nice little sonnet, Alfred.
