Winter Itch

a winter sun plays hide and seek
odd shadows chill my bones
reminding me of annual constraints
i crave to escape instinctively

a caged animal an inmate
itching for the taste of freedom
i feel a desperate panic
seeking latitude by longitude

An urge for trekking cruising
globetrotting and jetsetting
a deeper innate hankering
to recharge spent batteries

Miss Line. Your poems are so well written that often I am speechless on comments. Many times I enjoy them is silence because I don't want my words to spoil them.

Wow, Line! This is such a wonderfully "chilling" poem...and yet warm at the same time. I can see you pacing a cold floor waiting for the sunshine to reappear and recharge your "batteries". lol Chill out, Line! lol Have a nice glass of wine. :D
