Winter Freedom

Winter Freedom I gaze out my frosty parlour window, To take in the magical wintry sight, The evergreens sway in swirling snow, That transforms the streets to carpets of white, Burdens of life into crystals so bright, Filling my heart with Winter’s weightless light. In times so recent mountains are too high, I struggle to climb over, but cannot, Which ensues an involuntary sigh, No one notices how hard I have fought, Scrapes, diverse bruises acquired for naught? Victory escapes; though steadily sought. Effortlessly each flake floats freely forth, Mindless of its fated destination, Unaware that others measure its worth, From the birth of each crystal creation, To scapes of flake reunification, Above the natter; matchless elation. The minutes spent allow me to absorb Winter’s view, calmed by its burden free orb. (Sonnet) 12/27/2018 Winter Wonderland Poetry Contest Sponsor: Emile Pinet

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
