Winter Ecstasy

The golden leaves heard the chilled wind’s whisper 
as they crumpled with the rhythm of attuned rustle, 
composing the melody of the song of winter wonders 
that beguiled us as the mist melted in the sapphire sky. 

I now find defoliated tree boughs dance in winter gale,
afloat in its stream I see you return to me from the cold,
dissolve the miasma enveloping my glacial memory, 
bring the old times through the frosted door of mind. 

I feel the warmth of the golden sun you raise for me, 
from behind the haze I see the ascent of a new dawn,
you hold my hands, ecstasy defrosts memory landscape, 
we walk happy in the quiet garden waiting for the spring.
