Winter Day

Sleep my love, as the morning takes flight, warm yourself beneath blankets of a darker night where stars and moon glow bring dreams of kings might and the winter winds slow less strong and more polite. Shut your eyes safe, snug and tight hours lag before the first rays of light dance your heart to rhythms rising heights, sleep awhile, a little longer before the coldest bites; stir not the visions keep their promises well in sight and sleep, rest to wake in fields of snowy white when all creatures rise with the sun most bright time enough for the day to excite.
