A non-contest poem. In the snowy winter, there shines a crimson spark, A beautiful cardinal perches, looking hardy and bright, Its songs resonate through forest stark, A beacon in the frosted white, Its warmth defies the bitterness in hazy daylight. The branches sag with icy weight, Yet sitting on it, cardinal sings its tune without fear, A melody defying future and fate, A whispered hope for all to hear, Its courage blooming year to year.

The cardinal in crimson shade sitting and singing in an expanse of snow is indeed "a beacon in the frosted white". A single image, projected so beautifully.

Very well-composed poem, with profound metaphors. And the picture matches exactly your words.
