Winter

Winter brings tears to my eyes
pure white covers all I'll abide
winter brings tears to my eyes

There's nothing like the pure driven snow,
to cover the sins of the world,
that this is true is all that I know
Yes, winter brings tears to my eyes

Cold air invigorates my blood,
making winter seem all the more warm,
for winter I'd wade through the flood
Yes, winter brings tears to my eyes

As straight as the crows will fly,
winter will leap in my arms,
if she ever does cry,
I'll keep her safe from all harm.
Winter brings tears to my eyes.

I'll never know how much she hurts
A smile is frozen in place,
all I can do is be there,
I'm wiping the tears from my face,
Yes, Winter brings tears to my eyes
