Winter

When snow starts falling in Canada We know winter games shall begin. Do we just sit around fireplaces? No, that would be a sin. Snowball fights daily in our schoolyards, Till the bell calls them in. Rosie red cheeks on children, Mittens with scarf’s and hats, Snowmen in every front yard, Put away are the bats. Indoors a haven for cats. Ski’s out and waxed, Skates sharp as knives, Skating rinks are full Of children, husband, wives. Tobogganing so exiting, Curling extremely fun, Hockey, number one. Cold feet, Hot chocolate. This is a good description of a cold, icy time of the year, where the weather does not stop people from enjoying themselves. Here in Malta the weather never goes that low that we freeze, so no snow and ice for us...therefore no winter sports! Congrats on your fine win, Brenda. // paul

Yeah...that pretty well sums it up. We got killed last winter and they say another one is on its way maybe worse than last year. Excellent write. You went for the rhyme too I am just working on mine, hoping to be able to rhyme mine as well. Good luck but I know this will do well.

Hot chocolate we always had after to long out in the snow playing. My mom had to threaten spankings to get we kids to come inside. Great contest entry.. I plan on submitting an entry to Andrea's contest just have not written it yet. This write should do quite well.

Beautiful Brenda....Hockey is my number one sport to watch (go Blackhawks..sorry). Baseball is my passion to play and coach...I could go for some hot chocolate right now....hugs Tim

Well Toronto Blue Jays I like because of the colour of their uniforms. When I was growing up I loved Boston Bruins because of number 4 Bobby Orr. Now Hockey I can take but baseball BORING. Now wouldn't you know it, I love soccer. All them young men running around in shorts. Just kidding I just love the game. I do like a real baseball game with normal people though, they just drag it out to much on TV.
