Brenda Meier-Hans Poet Rhyme

Winter

When snow starts falling in Canada 
We know winter games shall begin.
Do we just sit around fireplaces?
No, that would be a sin.
Snowball fights daily in our schoolyards,
Till the bell calls them in.

Rosie red cheeks on children,
Mittens with scarf’s and hats,
Snowmen in every front yard,
Put away are the bats.
Indoors a haven for cats.

Ski’s out and waxed,
Skates sharp as knives,
Skating rinks are full
Of children, husband, wives. 

Tobogganing so exiting,
Curling extremely fun,
Hockey, number one.

Cold feet,
Hot chocolate.

Winter.

Here in Malta the weather never goes that low that we freeze, so no snow and ice for us...therefore no winter sports! When I was growing up I loved Boston Bruins because of number 4 Bobby Orr. Now Hockey I can take but baseball BORING. Now wouldn't you know it, I love soccer. All them young men running around in shorts. Just kidding I just love the game. I do like a real baseball game with normal people though, they just drag it out to much on TV.
