Winter

Please Listen to My Plea

I am Winter

People do not like me
They say I am cold you see
I spread gown to cover trees and ground
But people don’t want me around

My wind does bring a chill
But I don’t like people to kill
My moon is large and blue
I love to bring romance to you

White is so clean a pure
It makes things fresh I am sure
But my season must come
Regardless of complaints by some

Some places my gown does not cover
My wind is only an errant breeze
My temperature is tepid
My color is placid
Oh, can’t you see
I am who I was meant to be
Can’t you please accept me?

For three months out of the year, we have to accept winter whether we like it or not. Good poetic way to describe the personification of winter.
