Winter

In dead of winter
Lit up like the stars
Snow falls from street lights
And on to the cars

As the days get colder
Smoke rises up high
To signal Saint Nick
Way up in the sky

But this winters different
Because I’m not at home
I’m here in Korea
But I’m not alone

See I joined the army
And now I am here
But I found my love
The one I call dear

It’s different you see
But the snow still falls
And deep in the distance
I hear whispers call

Hello my family
I’ll be coming home soon
But I’m not coming home alone
So make some room for two
