Winners and Losers
I do not recognise this world we live in,
I can't bear its troubled face,
All the arguing and fighting,
Will cause the end of the Human Race.
Inhumanity runs rife,
For the people of Ukraine
The savage loss of life,
Destruction and constant pain,
Caused by a dictator,
Who decides he wants a war,
Stirring a cauldron of trouble,
Adding more and more,
Anguish to the pot
Dangerous and demented,
A man who's losing the plot
Because of his love of power,
That is getting weaker by the hour.
He is a loser whichever way it goes,
The Ukrainians are united,
And not intimidated by their foes.
The Ukrainian people,
Did not want this war,
Why would they want to fight
For a country that was theirs before.
How will this all end?
It is anyone's guess,
How will we untangle
This untanglable mess.
Bravery, Courage and Respect,
For each other,
United together,
Brother to Brother.
The world will forever remember Ukraine,
For its stamina and restrain.
In trying to keep its own country,
Gaining respect and compassion in History.
