Winner and Losers In Life

In regards to this game or so called thing we call life

Technically I haven't lost as yet

But on the other hand I certainly as hell haven't won

And although I am over 50 now its not full time just as yet either

As we are now just merely moving into overtime

Because if anything life thus far has taught me this

It can not end neither in a tie nor a draw

We all simply have to keep playing until the final whistle blows

And there must eventually either be a loser or said winner

Otherwise we will be stuck
somewhere in between like purgatory

Waiting for the final verdict and eventual outcome to be heard

Of whether or not we are
destined to rise up or headed for a fall

And only those lucky enough victorious winners in the end reap the glory

Whereas the losers unfortunately are only left with sadness and regret

One can only guess and I don't suppose
in the end

The meek don't inherit the earth either
