Wingspan
I used to be a pebble.
Now I’m the frigate-bird
weaving wide wings with sky.
I trim my feathers,
search the wind and waves
where silver-fish dive.
I used to be old
as earth-bones
but I hold a quick
in the hollow
of my eye.
