Wingless Angels

The words you say are broken wings
You’re falling, voices are echoes dying fast
The only thing left is what you sing
The only thing that leads you is things that have passed

The moving sky
Faster, it’s nothing in your eye
A blur of sound
You heard me, but you could never have truly found

The things I say will meet your frown
I’m trying, but words I know can’t help you now
The things I say hurt when you’re down
I’m lying, dying for the sounds

Silence as I die
Endless, I only question why
A hint of soul
Listen, I beg you to hear yourself and know

If I could ever replace your wings I would
The beauty, there is still something away from pain
For every time you’ve ever spilled your blood
I’d die now, breathe life there if I could
It seems that in this world I’ll never win
People falling and burning without wings
My words will always be something you can sing
I am falling, wingless, the sky is just nothing
