Windy Hill

Windy Hill Breathless, we both flung ourselves on the windy hill, We both laughed out loud in the searing sun and kissed the lush grass I heard you say, Through sheer ecstasy, we glorify as we pass The earth, wind, and sun shall remain as the birds thus sing on When we are old upon the years... alas then shall we die All that is ours or was and still life burns on Through other lips, desires and lovers', said I, You are my heart of hearts and heaven shall now be won!' We have learned our lesson here, on our precious earth's best Life can be ours as long as we don't cry, we have kept our faith we said Reluctantly we shall go down as surely we do tread As proud as we were, all in rose-colored views into the darkness We have laughed about all the simple things we did say No honest of words, brave and honesty we thus turned away. 03/15/18 Evie Would this be an allusion or an illusion?
