Winds

Whoosh!
You see me?
Probably not,
but you can feel me.
Wait, you can see me,
can’t you?
Look at the willow as it bends.
Look at that person’s hair.
Oops, look at that piece of garbage
as it blows down the street.
You can see me after all!
Yet, do you appreciate me?
I can change a landscape;
the sand, the sea, the clouds.
Have you ever wondered
where I came from
or where I’m off to next?
I can be brutal and destructive.
I can also be calm and soothing.
I can be wet and I can be dry.
Have you figured it out yet?
I am invisible, yet I can be seen.
I am the winds of change,
the winds of guidance,
the winds of nature.
I am a force of nature.
So fear me, but also
enjoy and watch
with awe!
