Hi, congratulations on your placement in this contest. I enjoyed this 'rough' poem because it connected with a thought and feeling that sparks a poem that can then lead somewhere else and be developed. It met the brief and was what I asked for without trying too hard but still hitting a very poetic note. I unfortunately hadn't noticed you had included your name, but it did not affect judging - however you should be mindful one of the rules of contests is not to identify yourself within the poem.
