Winding Down

Winding Down Tom’s Early Morning Thoughts November 18, 2020 We began winding down, when it became apparent that our best days were in our rear view mirror. When it became no longer important, whether our two vehicles smelled new, but had become just transportation. Or the house we built together still wore it’s popcorn ceilings, and had tiled floors. A see through fireplace, that we no longer use, adorns two native stone walls, which I suppose would be considered obsolete today. At this phase of life we jettison things once considered our treasures, and our considerable library contains outdated, no longer read books. The $900.+ monthly healthcare insurance premium has now become our biggest outlay. It’s became a time of remembering, not setting goals for the future. When estate planning is all in order and life is good. A time of helping others with needs more important than ours, and thinking of things others will face as our country continues it’s march toward self destruction. A time of reflection and being burdened for the unsaved, those who have heard God’s word, but rejected it. I guess you could say that life, for us, is winding down, And I can’t help but think that Jesus is coming soon. At least for the two of us. Tom
