Wind of Change

Wild flower dance
upon the prairie.
Hustle
and bustle
around the home.
Young boys
in the meadow
helping lay
the hay.
Women tending the home
as prepare
for seasons change.
Canning and storage
of all they raise.
Fields to plow
and sow
all before the snow.
Riding up into valley
so far away
to bring the herd home.
Cutting and chopping away
they ready themselves
for when the leaves blow away
