Wind Chime Concerto
Notes from a wind chime
gathered into an evening symphony
that the breeze from the shore
lazily blew to me.
The sea in the distance
was gentle, yet swift
and I spotted a gift
it passed on to the sand-
an ivory shell
that the starlight enhanced.
The air draped over us lightly, Josie,
like silk as cool as the sea.
We watched amethyst clouds enclose the moon,
and the silhouette of a lone rose move
as the wind chime concerto swelled with emotions.
Perchance, nature's love
was expressed to us from lips unseen...
Perchance, she wanted us
to listen
to the encore floating in from the sea...
