Wind

Wind It’s evident that this element has been here before time Is it all mine? Just for me, this spring breeze seeping through my window Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t What is it? Composed of Oxygen That feels so good when it’s hot But, hurts when its not Sometimes it brings pain as a hurricane Or, gloom as a monsoon A typhoon is the perfect storm Did it destroy the dinosaurs? It’s much more than alight breeze In springtime it’s a tease In autumn it carries the leaves But, doesn’t carry disease It’s colorless, odorless, and tasteless But so powerful It’s invisible, but you know it’s there Because you can feel it, can’t you? It shakes you bones when it’s cold In the snow you get chills from it You can conceal it for a minute Is it the same wind that flows with the Nile River? Did it deliver Columbus to America? Is it the same wind that causes mass hysteria? In the Sahara Desert Did it blow the nose off the Sphinx in Egypt? Is it the same wind that caused the leaning Tower of Pisa? Did it help create the continents on Earth? Was it there when Mary gave birth? If so, how? Is it the same breeze I feel right now?
